Last month, our Founder, Anabella Alfonzo, had the honour of moderating a panel discussion on Art & Community Connection. The visual summary below captures some of the projects and initiatives shared by the panelists – showing how brands, institutions, community organizations, and city makers are working with art to meaningfully:

  • Catalyze positive change

  • Activate spaces

  • Create social impact

  • Make our cities safer

  • Foster belonging

  • Share knowledge across generations and cultures

  • Tell stories

  • Connect people

  • Strengthen communities

This is a big part of what inspires us and motivates us here at Aartplace – to continue to create connections between people and places through art.

A huge THANK YOU to our incredible panelists who gave life to this: Andrea Curtis from Vancouver Mural Fest (VMF), Jon Stovell from Reliance Properties, Jessica Dizon from Herschel Supply Company, Pamela Saunders from Microsoft, and Ann Pollock from The Collective Agency Project – and to Brands For Better Foundation who made it possible.
